Ric Flair announces he’s ‘now cancer-free’

Ric Flair shared some great news on Tuesday morning, informing fans that he’s now cancer-free.

The wrestling icon went public last month with the news that he was battling skin cancer for the second time in just three years. The ordeal taught Flair that melanoma is “nothing to play with,” but things are now looking better for him. He posted a tweet today thanking the dermatology clinic that treated his skin cancer. Flair had bandages on both his forehead and arm from the treatment.

“Thank You Academic Alliance In Dermatology!,” he wrote. I’m Now Cancer Free! WOOOOO!”

The 76-year-old Flair was scheduled to appear at Atlanta Comic Convention this past weekend but had to miss the booking due to “personal and health related issues.” He also had to cancel a personal appearance back in June due to his health problems.

Though he has not been involved with the promotion much outside of being part of Sting’s retirement run, Flair is still under contract with AEW. He did make an appearance on a Collision episode this May when he paid tribute to his late friend Steve “Mongo” McMichael after McMichael passed away following a battle with ALS.
