Report: ‘Notable’ AEW wrestler claims they were contacted by WWE

WWE is alleged to have reached out to a “notable” member of the AEW roster. 

According to a report from Fightful Select, an unnamed wrestler has informed AEW management that they were contacted by WWE regarding working for them. The AEW roster member was described as one “who is known to be under contract” and a full-time performer with the company.

The unnamed talent informed AEW management of the situation because they felt the company’s higher-ups deserved to know. They also informed AEW that they have no interest in leaving and told WWE they are happy where they are. 

The report continues to say “the claim was” it was a member of WWE’s Talent Relations department that made contact with the AEW talent. 

WWE has brought back multiple previously released wrestlers in recent weeks. These include Karrion Kross, Scarlett Bourdeaux, Dakota Kai, as well as Hit Row’s Top Dolla, B-Fab, and Ashante Thee Adonis. It is not clear if the AEW talent in question is a former WWE talent, however.
