Report: Frankie Kazarian re-signs with AEW

An AEW original is staying put.
PW Insider was first to report that AEW and Frankie Kazarian have agreed on a new contract, extending the veteran’s stay with the company.
Kazarian’s original signing was announced at the introductory AEW press conference and pep rally in Jacksonville, Florida in January of 2019. Kazarian, Christopher Daniels, and Scorpio Sky formed the SCU trio, and face the Stronghearts on the first AEW show, Double or Nothing 2019.
Kazarian and Sky went on to win the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament, establishing themselves as the first title holders.
After Sky split off for a singles run, Kazarian and Daniels lost a Tag title match to The Young Bucks in May 2021, with the stipulation that they would disband if they lost. Since then, Daniels has gone into semi-retirement, while Kazarian has cycled through a couple of different spins on his character, first as The Elite Hunter.
