Prudential Center postpones March events including AEW Blood & Guts

In a dizzying afternoon of cancellations and bans around the world due to the coronavirus outbreak, Newark, New Jersey’s, Prudential Center released a statement Thursday that all March events have been postponed.

That, of course, includes the ‘Blood and Guts’ themed edition of AEW Dynamite originally set for Wednesday, March 25th.

As of this writing, fans are still waiting to hear what the plan is for next week’s Dynamite as Rochester, NY, is off the table due to a ban by New York State governor Andrew Cuomo of events with 500 people or more. While not officially announced by AEW, the Rochester show will happen in early-July.

One option is to move to a closed arena model, perhaps in their corporate home of Jacksonville, FL. WWE announced Thursday that SmackDown will emanate from their Orlando, FL-based Performance Center this week instead of Detroit, MI. With mutliple live events per week, that could be their temporary home going forward until government officials allow mass gatherings again.
