Pro Wrestling EVE notes: Kris Statlander wins title, Skye Blue & Julia Hart appearance set

Notes coming from today’s Pro Wrestling Eve event.

Kris Statlander won the Pro Wrestling EVE International title in the main event of Friday’s Mean Grrrls event in London, defeating Anita Vaughan to win the title for the first time. Vaughan’s reign ended after 92 days.

Statlander is signed to AEW, where she has been featured in recent weeks still conflicted about her relationship with Willow Nightingale. Despite turning against her last year, Statlander seems torn on whether to repair their relationship. She most recently competed on the June 25 edition of AEW Dynamite, winning a four-way between Athena, Thunder Rosa, and Nightingale to earn the number one spot in the upcoming Women’s Casino Gauntlet match at All In. 

Pro Wrestling Eve also announced that Julia Hart and Skye Blue would be appearing at an upcoming show on August 23, the same weekend as AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. A video aired during the show making the announcement.

Skye Blue made her return from injury in March, quickly reassociating herself with Hart.
