Powerhouse Hobbs provides injury update

Powerhouse Hobbs has provided an injury update.
Hobbs has been out of action since suffering an injury in his IWGP World title match against Jon Moxley on the April 24, 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite.
On Monday, Hobbs posted a video of his first physical therapy session after having had surgery three weeks ago for a patellar tendon injury.
“1st PT session 3 week post op Patellar tenon repair,” Hobbs wrote on X.
During his match with Moxley, Hobbs charged at his opponent in the corner but missed and came up favoring his right knee. Our own Bryan Alvarez would later confirm the injury was legitimate and Fightful Select would report shortly after that Hobbs is expected to miss significant time.
On May 5, Hobbs posted the following message to X:
Not sure what to say. Injuries happen and we deal with them. We recalibrate, we rebuild, we reinvent. The real test is the comeback. I’ve been told I’ll come back like nothing ever happened.
So, why do I feel so angry right now? Why do I feel so disappointed? It’s because that’s all bullshit. Nobody comes back the same after any injury. The only choice is to come back better.
As I sit here on this Island of Darkness, I have thousands of questions running through my mind nonstop. The doctors tell me not to worry. Just HEAL and RECOVER. They have no idea that this is nothing compared to the hell I’ve been through. Just rest assured when I come back that I’m bringing Hell with me.
