Peter Avalon recovering from shoulder surgery
Peter Avalon is recovering from shoulder surgery after going under the knife last week.
“I had shoulder surgery last Tuesday & this sling I’m wearing is driving me LOCO,” Avalon posted to social media yesterday. He also shared a photo of himself wearing the sling last week and holding an “out of service” sign.
Avalon did not say how long he expects to be on the shelf. Despite his injury, he appeared at United Wrestling Network’s Championship Wrestling television tapings on March 25. Avalon announced that he is Championship Wrestling’s new on-screen matchmaker and is now going by “Producer” Peter Avalon.
In addition to that role, Avalon was part of the broadcast team for Rob Van Dam’s Only Wrestlers Association promotion on March 20.
Avalon appears for AEW and ROH on a per-date basis, most recently competing at an ROH taping in October 2024. He teamed with Preston Vance in a loss to JD Drake & Beef on that episode.
