Paul Wight appearance, ladder match qualifier set for AEW Dynamite

For the first time since 1999, Paul Wight will make an appearance on a non-WWE show when he debuts on AEW Dynamite: The Crossroads next Wednesday.

Wight will speak for the first time since Wednesday’s announcement he signed with the company in a wrestling and commentary role for the new AEW Dark: Elevation show, set to debut on Monday, March 15th.

Another Face of the Revolution qualifier match will take place as Max Caster of The Acclaimed will face 10 of the Dark Order. Lance Archer advanced with a win over Rey Fenix Wednesday to join Cody Rhodes, Scorpio Sky, and Penta El Zero M in the Revolution pay-per-view match that will decide the next top contender to the TNT Championship. The final spot will be left open as a surprise that night.

Also announced for next week’s live match:

  • A Chris Jericho and MJF “press conference” where they will answer questions from the wrestling media regarding their AEW Tag Team title shot at Revolution and their attack on the Young Bucks’ father Wednesday.
  • Dark Order (5, Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, Alex Reynolds, John Silver) vs. Matt Hardy, Private Party and TH2: This was made when Hardy threw 5 off the stage through a table following Hangman Page’s Wednesday win over Isiah Kassidy, saying he is targeting the Dark Order due to Page’s alliance with them.

Next week will also feature the previously announced Shaquille O’Neal and Jade Cargill vs. Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet match in addition to Jurassic Express vs. FTR and Tully Blanchard in the latter’s first match in nearly 14 years.
