The man to hold the first-ever AEW International title will now get a chance to regain it in the future.
On Wednesday’s Dynamite, PAC won a four-way “Global Glory” match over Tomohiro Ishii, Claudio Castagnoli and Kyle Fletcher to earn the opportunity. He will take on either current champion Will Ospreay or MJF as they battle over the title on next Wednesday’s 250th episode of Dynamite.
PAC picked up the victory by getting Fletcher to submit in a bout that saw plenty of near falls, big moves and submission attempts.
Afterward, PAC took the microphone and said that since he returned in March, he has “made many bold promises and suffered many humiliating failures” but it’s All In season and “the Bastard won’t be denied my Wembley moment. I promise you that tonight is a line in the sand. The Bastard will be back.”
It was not specified whether he would get his shot at August’s All In at London’s Wembley Stadium. He had to miss the inaugural show as he was injured.
PAC won the inaugural All-Atlantic Champion in June 2022, later changed to the International title in March 2023. He held it for 108 days and defended it seven times, finally losing it to Orange Cassidy on an October edition of Dynamite.
