NJPW’s Will Ospreay appears on AEW Dynamite, attacks Trent Beretta

Will Ospreay and other members of NJPW’s United Empire made an appearance on Dynamite tonight, laying out FTR and Trent Beretta.

Trent Beretta came out for a promo and asked FTR for another shot for the ROH Tag Team titles. FTR came out and agreed with Beretta, saying that he and Rocky Romero deserved another shot. Will Ospreay then came out. However, it was a distraction as Aaron Henare and Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) came out from the crowd and attacked Beretta and FTR. Ospreay then came to the ring and smashed Beretta with the hidden blade to the back of the head. The stable then posed to end the segment.

Other members of the United Empire, Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb, interrupted a FTR/Roppongi Vice match for the ROH World Tag Team title last month on Dynamite, laying out both teams, causing the match to be thrown out.

Ospreay has not wrestled since May 15, when he defeated Homicide at a NJPW Strong Collision taping. He has since been recovering from a kidney infection.
