Moxley-Omega World title match set for December 2nd AEW Dynamite

The much-anticipated AEW World title match between Jon Moxley and no. 1 contender Kenny Omega will be happening much sooner than February’s Revolution pay-per-view.

On Wednesday’s Dynamite, it was announced that Moxley will defend the title against Omega on the December 2nd edition of Dynamite.

Moxley is coming off a successful title defense against Eddie Kingston at Full Gear while Omega earned the shot by winning the World title eliminator tournament, defeating Sonny Kiss, Penta El Zero M and Hangman Page, the latter also at Full Gear. This will be his first AEW World title shot.

This will be the second AEW meeting between the two men as they previously faced off in an unsanctioned Lights Out match at 2019’s Full Gear in Baltimore, MD. The match saw AEW fined $10,000 by the Maryland State Athletic Commission after both men bladed.

Moxley has held the AEW World title since February’s Revolution pay-per-view with nine defenses under his belt.
