MJF vs. Takeshita announced for next week’s AEW Dynamite

MJF vs. Konosuke Takeshita in a World title eliminator match is one of five bouts announced for the February 8 AEW Dynamite.

After defeating Brian Cage on this week’s episode, Takeshita and MJF brawled backstage. Renee Paquette then announced that Tony Khan had made an eliminator match between the two for next week’s show. If Takeshita wins, he earns a future AEW World title shot.

In another eliminator match, Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter will face The Bunny next week. The Bunny issued a challenge in a backstage promo this week, and Hayter quickly accepted the match.

The AEW Tag titles will be up for grabs next week as well, with The Acclaimed defending against The Gunns.

Bryan Danielson will continue his march towards a title match with MJF at Revolution with a singles match against Rush. MJF offered Rush a briefcase full of cash, and promised more money if Rush is able to rip Danielson’s arm off.

Ricky Starks will have a gauntlet match on next week’s Dynamite. He will take on Angelo Parker, Matt Menard, and either Daniel Garcia or Sammy Guevara in a “Garcia/Guevara gauntlet” match. If Starks defeats all three opponents, he earns another match with Chris Jericho.

The Elite also issued a challenge to Top Flight and AR Fox for a Trios title match for next week’s show, but the match was not included in the rundown prior to this week’s main event.
