Main event set for next AEW Dynamite

In a clash that has been building for weeks, former AEW World Champion MJF will take on former ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe in the main event of next Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite from Cleveland, Ohio.
After Briscoe defeated Ricochet in this week’s Dynamite main event, he called out MJF once again who eventually appeared via video. MJF said he talked to Tony Khan and the match would be the main event of next week’s show.
MJF then delivered a sneak attack to Briscoe in the ring before current champion Hangman Page came out for the save. Earlier in the night, MJF was apparently kicked out of The Hurt Syndicate by Shelton Benjamin.
Briscoe and MJF have had their issues for weeks, including at this month’s All In when they were number one and two in the Casino Gauntlet match MJF eventually won to earn an anytime, anywhere World title match.
The two have never squared off in a singles match and have only shared the ring once during that gauntlet match.
The match is the first announced for next Wednesday.
