MJF vs. Juice Robinson to open AEW Dynamite

The opening match on this week’s AEW Dynamite will be for the Dynamite Diamond ring. 

MJF revealed on social media that he requested his match against Juice Robinson open Wednesday’s show in Philadelphia. 

He wrote:

I’ve spoken to my “boss” and made it clear I don’t want to wait any longer to get my hands on this honey comb mascot looking Bitch. This match will be opening #AEWDynamite 8pm on @TBSNetwork

AEW has also revealed Hook and Rob Van Dam’s opponents for Dynamite on Wednesday. They will wrestle The Dark Order’s John Silver & Alex Reynolds on the show. 

Dynamite this week will be the fifth show AEW has run from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia dating back to the third-ever episode in 2019. According to WrestleTix, 3,811 tickets had been distributed to Wednesday’s show as of last week. They drew over 7000 in 2021, over 6000 in April 2022, and just over 5000 in September 2022.
