MJF live appearance added to AEW Dynamite

A week after putting AEW World Champion Jon Moxley in his crosshairs, former titleholder MJF will make his return live in person as part of this Wednesday’s Dynamite.
The reigning Dynamite diamond ring holder is coming off a victory over former partner and rival Adam Cole at last month’s Worlds End to retain his ring.
In a backstage promo after that match that aired this Wednesday, MJF said that he wants his “Triple B” belt back and while Jon Moxley is parading around with the title claiming he’s the king of these lands, “what’s a king to a god?” He then said in 2025, the devil gets his due, part two.
MJF’s lone World title reign began with his win over Moxley at November 2022’s Full Gear and lasted until December 2023’s Worlds End when Cole aided Samoa Joe to defeat MJF for the title. MJF then disappeared for nearly five months to recover from injuries and to film movies before returning at May’s Double or Nothing. He was in and out for the duration of the year due to filming ‘Happy Gilmore 2″ with Adam Sandler, wrestling 11 total matches for four different promotions.
Conversely, Moxley regained the title from Bryan Danielson at October’s WrestleDream. He and the Death Riders are currently feuding with Cope and FTR, and he will next defend the title against the winner of a Casino gauntlet match on Wednesday.
Here’s the current lineup for Clarksville, Tennessee:
- Kenny Omega appearance
- MJF appearance
- Casino gauntlet match for an AEW World title match on the January 15th Dynamite
