Miro returns to AEW, defeats Johnny Elite

Miro made his return to AEW tonight, wrestling Johnny Elite on tonight’s Dynamite.

After Elite was in the ring, a video appeared with Miro saying that his neck was healed and has returned to redeem everyone. He then defeated Elite in a match, submitting him with the Game Over.

Miro had been gone from AEW since last November, last wrestling Bryan Danielson at Full Gear in the AEW World Title Eliminator tournament final. He reportedly signed a four-year extension with AEW earlier this year.

He had also recently been seen in a trailer for the upcoming CBS series ‘East New York’, where he appears in the pilot as the character Nikolai Dushkin.

Miro signed with AEW back in 2020, initially aligned with Kip Sabian. He later won the TNT Championship, losing the title to Sammy Guevara on September 29 of last year. He had replaced Jon Moxley in the World Title Eliminator tournament and made it to the finals before losing to Danielson.
