Mike Tyson: I’d rather go to WWE than AEW even though AEW pays more

While he’s been involved with both promotions before, boxing legend Mike Tyson would rather appear for WWE than AEW if given the chance.

Tyson and NFL player Sebastian Joseph-Day were joined by The Undertaker on the latest episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson. When Joseph-Day asked what he has to do to be a special guest in WWE, Tyson brought up that he’d rather appear for WWE than AEW even though AEW pays more.

Tyson: You know Tony Khan and those guys? Yeah, these guys want to put me on the show and stuff before. But I don’t care if they got more money. If Vince [McMahon] put me on the show, I’d rather go there [WWE] even though they [AEW] pay more money.

Undertaker: I don’t blame you there. It’s going to get much more play. WWE is going to do it right. Yeah.

Tyson was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a celebrity inductee in 2012. In 1998, he famously served as the outside enforcer for “Stone Cold” Steve Austin vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XIV. Tyson was the guest host for an episode of Raw in 2010.

Tyson has also appeared on AEW programming several times, including doing guest commentary for Orange Cassidy vs. Katsuyori Shibata on Rampage last November.
