Mercedes Mone vs. Queen Aminata set for AEW Dynamite

Mercedes Mone has a match this Wednesday.

It was announced during AEW WrestleDream that Mone will face Queen Aminata. The two had a backstage altercation during the Zero Hour pre-show where Aminata confronted Mone, who was rude to one of the backstage personnel. Aminata told Mone that she didn’t care who Mone was, there was no need for Mone to act the way she did. Mone responded by saying she didn’t even know who she was and told Aminata to get out of her face.

Mone most recently defended both the TBS and New Japan Strong titles at AEW Title Tuesday, defeating Emi Sakura. Kris Statlander has confronted Mone about wanting a TBS Championship match, blaming her for making Willow Nightingale obsessed with getting the TBS Championship and ultimately ending their friendship.

Aminata has recently been feuding with Serena Deeb and made the save for Britt Baker when Deeb jumped her following a recent match.
