Mercedes Mone vs. Billie Starkz booked for next AEW Dynamite
The CEO will step into the ring with the ROH Women’s World Champion’s minion on next week’s AEW Dynamite.
Billie Starkz, the “minion” of ROH Women’s World Champion Athena, challenged Mone to a match for the March 19 Dynamite on this week’s episode, a bout that was made official later in the show.
It was not made clear whether any of Mone’s championships will be on the line for the bout.
The match announcement comes after several weeks of interactions with Mone and Starkz on Collision and Dynamite, all a slow burn for a potential Mone vs. Athena bout down the line.
Next week’s Dynamite will also include an AEW World title contest with Jon Moxley defending against Cope in a street fight, plus a four-way match to decide Kenny Omega’s International title challenger for Dynasty. The first two competitors qualified for the four-way on tonight’s show, with the next two to be decided on Saturday’s AEW Collision.
