Mercedes Mone signs with AEW, debuts at Dynamite Big Business

After months of speculation, Mercedes Mone is officially All Elite.

Mone’s debut opened Wednesday’s AEW Big Business, held in her hometown of Boston at the TD Garden. She confirmed she had signed with AEW and cut a promo thanking her fans for being behind her.

After a car was seen pulling up to the arena, Mone came out to new music. In her promo, she thanked Boston for being there for her, saying that wrestling saved her life and people like Eddie Guerrero had given her hope of one day being able to become a wrestler. She said if she could do it, others can do it as well.

Mone told the audience that she needed to be in AEW, and wants to be there. She brought up the main event between Riho and Willow Nightingale and mentioned that she and Nightingale have unfinished business. She ended the promo confirming that Mercedes Mone is All Elite.

The end of Big Business saw Julia Hart and Skye Blue attack Nightingale after she defeated Riho. Mone came out and laid out both women, sending them to the back. Nightingale raised Mone’s hand and left the ring as the show closed with Mone posing.

AEW had announced the Big Business edition of Dynamite in early February. Although Mercedes Mone hadn’t been mentioned explicitly, the term “BOSSton” had been used in advertising leading up to the event. Mone tweeted the word “BO$$STON” just hours before Big Business started.
