Melissa Santos joins AEW as new broadcast team member
AEW has a new member of its broadcast team.
Melissa Santos revealed today on Instagram that she has joined the company. She included the hashtags #announcer and #backstageinterviews in her post.
“Did you miss me? Thank you @aew for the opportunity and to those who helped make this happen. Grateful. Now let’s get to work.”
Santos’ began her wrestling career in 2012 as La Nina in the revamped Women of Wrestling promotion. She later became the ring announcer for Lucha Underground in 2016 and worked as a backstage interviewer for Impact in 2019.
Santos has been married to AEW’s Brian Cage since 2019. In November, the couple welcomed their second child together, a son named Logan.
AEW has made several changes of late to its broadcast team. The company parted ways with Dasha Kuret in April. Arkady Aura made her debut earlier this year and Alicia Atout announced she had officially signed with the company last month.
