Just months after he returned to AEW from a lengthy injury absence, Mark Davis is reportedly on the shelf once again.
According to Fightful Select, the 34-year-old was injured in his March 26th Dynamite bout against Powerhouse Hobbs that caused it to end earlier than planned.
Details are light, but the outlet stated the hope is he will be out for between four-to-eight weeks. The specific injury or how it was suffered is unknown.
Davis missed a full year of action from October 2023 through November 2024 after breaking his wrist in a tag team match at WrestleDream. He returned and was inserted into the angle involving Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher and the Don Callis Family. Davis eventually turned on Ospreay and joined the Callis Family against his will due to a contract clause Callis took advantage of.
It’s the latest in a slew of injuries announced this week as Jay White was pulled from the Owen Hart Foundation tournament due to a reported broken hand and Orange Cassidy is out with a reported pectoral injury.
