Mark Briscoe says he will ‘carry on’ for Jay Briscoe

In a video posted by ROH color commentator Caprice Coleman from an airport Thursday, Mark Briscoe said he will continue to “carry on” for his late brother, Jay.

Mark said that family is the most important thing to him and that for 23 years, he and Jay were on the road wrestling in different towns and countries and, “now, I’m going carry on for him.”

Mark said his brother will always be with him and if he didn’t think that, he wouldn’t be good.

Jay died unexpectedly in a car accident on Tuesday, January 17th in Laurel, Delaware.

After WBD lifted their internal ban on AEW featuring The Briscoes on TV, Mark competed in AEW for the first time ever on Wednesday’s Dynamite, defeating Jay Lethal in the main event.

Afterward, the locker room came out on the stage and honored Jay as the show came to an end with a graphic of him on the big screen.

Mark joked to Coleman that “I’m sore” after last night’s match.

The three-hour tribute to Jay went live on YouTube and HonorClub for free Thursday morning.
