Luchasaurus wins TNT Championship on AEW Collision

Luchasaurus is the new TNT Champion.

Thanks to the help of manager Christian Cage, Luchasaurus defeated Wardlow to win the title for the first time at Saturday’s Collision. The finish had Luchasaurus distract the referee as Cage grabbed a nearby camera and smashed it into Wardlow’s head. This allowed Luchasaurus to pin Wardlow after hitting a lariat to the back of Wardlow’s head. 

After the match, Cage grabbed the championship and held it high, celebrating on the shoulders of Luchasaurus as if he was the one who won the championship.

Wardlow had been champion for 59 days, defeating Powerhouse Hobbs on the April 19 edition of Dynamite. In the weeks that followed, Cage and Luchasaurus set their sights on the title, leading to a ladder match between Cage and Wardlow at Double or Nothing last month where Wardlow successfully retained the title. 

On Wednesday’s Dynamite, Cage announced the title match for Collison, then showed Wardlow’s manager Arn Anderson laid out near them.
