Lucha Brothers vs. FTR title match, Hook debut set for AEW Rampage

One week after it was originally scheduled, AEW Tag Team Champions The Lucha Brothers will defend the gold against FTR on Friday’s Rampage.

The original match set for last Friday’s show was changed to PAC and Penta El Zero Miedo vs. FTR as Rey Fenix had visa issues and couldn’t travel to Georgia for the show.

Originally scheduled for two-out-of-three falls, the title match will be a traditional tag team affair instead. The two teams wrestled at TripleMania Regia last Saturday for FTR’s AAA Tag Team titles with the champions retaining the titles.

Friday will also see the long-awaited pro wrestling debut of Hook, Taz’s son, cult favorite on Twitter, and part of Team Taz, as he takes on Fuego Del Sol.

Taz made the announcement on Wednesday’s Dynamite as he was furious that Dante Martin and Lio Rush swerved Team Taz during Wednesday’s Dynamite Diamond battle royal after Martin recently joined Taz’s group.

SuperKliq’s Adam Cole will face Wheeler Yuta of Best Friends in a singles match, made following the aftermath of the Young Bucks vs. Chuck Taylor and Rocky Romero match Wednesday.

The show will also feature six-woman tag team action as Ruby Soho, Anna Jay and Tay Conti will face Nyla Rose, The Bunny and Penelope Ford. This was set up during a backstage promo Wednesday and will serve as a preview for Soho’s match against Rose in the TBS title tournament semifinals.

Here’s the full lineup for Rampage, taped after Wednesday’s Dynamite at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York:

  • AEW Tag Team Champions Lucha Brothers vs. FTR title match
  • Hook vs. Fuego Del Sol
