Konosuke Takeshita vs. Brian Cage, TBS title match announced for AEW Dynamite
After running out to aid Bryan Danielson following a two-on-one attack on this week’s AEW Dynamite, Konosuke Takeshita will take on Brian Cage in a new addition to this Wednesday’s Dynamite.
Takeshita took out Cage as he and AEW World Champion MJF tried to soften Danielson up as he seeks to conclude his quest to earn a one-hour Iron Man match against the champion at March’s Revolution.
The TBS title will be on the line as Jade Cargill defends against Red Velvet in an effort to get to 50-0 in her young career.
The match was made during Friday’s Rampage as Velvet and Kiera Hogan confronted Cargill and Leila Gray during a promo segment. Velvet and Hogan split from Cargill over the last few months as The Baddies faction disintegrated.
Cargill is 2-0 against Velvet in their two previous singles matches. The two were on opposite ends of Cargill’s first ever match as she teamed with Shaquille O’Neal against Velvet & Cody Rhodes in March 2021.
