Kenny Omega’s first AAA Mega title defense set for AEW Dark

Kenny Omega’s first defense of the AAA Mega Championship will take place on AEW Dark.

AEW has announced that Omega will defend the AAA Mega title against Jack Evans on the episode of Dark that’s being taped in Indianapolis, Indiana tomorrow. It will air on YouTube at 7 p.m. Eastern time next Tuesday (November 26).

This will be the second time Omega has wrestled on AEW Dark. He defeated Joey Janela in an unsanctioned lights out match in the second week of the show.

Omega became the Mega Champion by defeating Fenix at AAA Heroes Inmortales last month. That match was set up by a challenge issued by Omega after Pentagon Jr., Fenix & Laredo Kid faced Omega & The Young Bucks at Triplemania XXVII.

Omega defending the Mega title against Dragon Lee is scheduled for AAA Triplemania Regia in Monterrey, Mexico on December 1.

Tomorrow’s live episode of Dynamite and AEW Dark tapings are taking place at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Dynamite will feature Nick Jackson vs. Fenix, Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin, Santana & Ortiz vs. Private Party, a Dynamite Dozen battle royal, and an announcement by AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.
