Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita set for AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest week one

The first-ever Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita match will be going down on Dynamite this Wednesday.
AEW has announced that Moxley will face Takeshita in a non-title match on Wednesday’s Fyter Fest week one edition of Dynamite. If Takeshita wins, he’ll earn a future shot at Moxley’s AEW Interim World Championship.
The story for the match is that Moxley requested to face Takeshita after Takeshita’s performance against Eddie Kingston from last week’s Rampage.
Tony Khan tweeted: “After [Takeshita’s] amazing battle vs [Kingston], AEW Interim World Champion @JonMoxley wants to fight Takeshita on #AEWDynamite! While I won’t sanction it as a title match since Eddie won Friday’s bout, if Takeshita wins Wednesday on TBS vs Mox then he earns a future title shot!”
Takeshita, who wrestles for DDT in Japan, returned to AEW this April as part of a United States tour.
Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia is hosting Dynamite this Wednesday. The updated lineup for the episode is listed below:
