Jon Moxley vs. Chris Jericho interim World title match set for AEW Quake by the Lake

An interim World Championship match is set for AEW Dynamite Quake by the Lake.
Jon Moxley will defend the interim AEW World title against Chris Jericho on the August 10 Quake by the Lake episode of Dynamite in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the Target Center. The match was announced on Wednesday’s Dynamite.
Following a successful Moxley title defense against Rush, Chris Jericho made his way to the stage with the Jericho Appreciation Society and challenged Moxley. After a back and forth on the microphone, Moxley accepted and the match was made official.
Moxley has held the interim AEW World title since defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi for the belt at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door on June 26. He has since defended the title against Rush and Brody King. The interim title was created following an injury to current AEW World Champion CM Punk.
Jericho was the first AEW World Champion, defeating Hangman Page to win the title at the promotion’s first pay-per-view, All Out, in August 2019.
