Jon Moxley not medically cleared for this week’s AEW Dynamite

Jon Moxley remains on the sidelines after suffering a concussion on the September 20 AEW Dynamite.
AEW’s Tony Khan announced in a social media post on Wednesday that doctors were unable to medically clear Moxley to compete on this week’s Dynamite episode. Khan posted on X:
Last week at #AEWDynamite Grand Slam,
@ReyFenixMx
won the International Title. Both Fenix + former champ
@JonMoxley
were injured in the bout.
AEW Doctors are unable to clear Mox tonight, but moments ago they DID clear Fenix, who will defend his title in an Open Challenge TONIGHT!
Khan did not provide a potential timetable for Moxley’s return. It had also not previously been reported that Rey Fenix was also injured last week as Khan revealed in his post. Fenix went on to defeat Jeff Jarrett in an International Championship match in this week’s Dynamite opener.
Moxley was concussed last week, forcing a change to the finish of his International Championship defense against Rey Fenix. Moxley was originally scheduled to win the bout, but called an audible and changed the result when he realized he was injured.
