Jericho to join commentary team for this week’s AEW Dynamite

Chris Jericho will be on commentary on Dynamite this Wednesday.

Jericho confirmed on Instagram that he would be in the commentary booth, specifically mentioning wanting to see the MJF-Sammy Guevara match up close. He mentioned that he would be on commentary throughout the entire duration of the show.

“I’m returning to the commentary desk this Wednesday for the entire duration of #AEWDynamite!!”, he wrote. “ And I’m very Excited to have a front row seat for @sammyguevara vs @the_mjf!! Im expecting this to be one of the most heated…and best…matches in @allelitewrestling history!!”

Jericho has joined the commentary team in the past, particularly during the pandemic, sometimes calling entire shows. He, Guevara, and Hager got into it with MJF, Wardlow, and Shawn Spears on last week’s Dynamite, with the Pinnacle attacking Jericho and targeting his injured elbow. However, Guevara made the save and cleared everyone out.

The lineup for Wednesday’s show includes:

  • MJF vs. Sammy Guevara
  • Eddie Kingston and Penta El 0 Miedo vs. The Young Bucks – if Kingston and Penta win, they get a future AEW World Tag Team title shot
  • Miro vs. Brian Pillman Jr. for the TNT title
  • Britt Baker and Rebel vs. Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero
