Jay White injured, out of AEW Owen Hart Foundation tournament

Just as Jay White was hoping to get into gear and challenge for the AEW World title at All In Texas after entering this year’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament, the injury bug bit him at an unfortunate time.
During the reveal of the men’s and women’s brackets during Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, Excalibur noted that White had been attacked by the Death Riders and he could no longer compete. No footage was shown to accompany the news.
That injury was not just a storyline as Fightful Select reported Wednesday night that White is legitimately injured and is expected to undergo surgery. The actual injury, the severity, and his timetable for a return is not yet known.
The 32-year-old picked up March wins over Max Caster and Kevin Knight, the latter of which came this past Saturday on Collision. Following last year’s Owen Hart tournament, White took time off due to a broken foot that kept him out for three months.
Fellow Bang Bang Gang member Juice Robinson is still on the injured list due to a broken fibula suffered during a match in last December’s Continental Classic while Austin & Colten Gunn haven’t been heard from since losing in an AEW Tag Team title match this past February after being out of action since September 2024.
