Jamie Hayter wins interim Women’s World Championship at AEW Full Gear

Jamie Hayter is the new interim AEW Women’s World Champion.
Hayter defeated Toni Storm at Saturday’s Full Gear event in Newark, New Jersey. The finish of the match had both Rebel and Britt Baker interfere, with Baker attempting to unfasten a turnbuckle in the corner. Storm sent Hayter into Baker. However, Storm ended up being sent into the exposed turnbuckle, allowing Hayter to hit the Hayt-breaker for the win.
This ends Storm’s run as interim champion. She won the championship on September 4, defeating Baker, Hayter, and Hikaru Shida in a four-way. The linear champion, Thunder Rosa, is currently out of action with a back injury.
After losing the interim championship match at Full Gear, Hayter continued the feud with Storm, with Storm telling the story that she and Hayter had lived in the same house during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Hayter started to ignore her once she arrived in AEW, with Storm saying that that Hayter had changed.
