Jake Atlas says knee will be ‘just fine’ following AEW Rampage injury

Jake Atlas has provided an update on his knee following an injury that took place on Rampage.

Atlas wrote on Twitter that his knee will be ‘just fine’, saying he was proud of the match.

“I’m so freaking proud of that match,” he wrote. “Thank you @AdamColePro for pushing me to give you ME. My knee will be just fine. Thank you guys for your concern. I won’t be gone long!”

The finish of the match had Atlas springboarding off the ropes, only to get struck by a superkick by Cole. Upon landing, Atlas grabbed his knee and was unable to get into position for Cole’s Panama Sunrise. Cole instead grabbed Atlas’ knee and applied a kneebar for the submission win.

After his release from WWE in August, Atlas competed in a few matches before deciding to take a break from pro wrestling for mental health reasons. He returned in late December in AEW, defeating Serpentico on an episode of AEW Dark. After the match aired this past Tuesday, it was announced that Atlas had signed with the promotion.
