Jade Cargill becomes first-ever TBS Champion on AEW Dynamite

Jade Cargill is the first-ever TBS Champion, defeating Ruby Riott on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.

Cargill defeated Riott following a double underhook slam off the middle rope. At one point in the match, Mercedes Martinez ran out, but was met by Thunder Rosa as the two brawled to the back. Soho hit the no future kick on Cargill, but Cargill kicked out and eventually went to the finish.

With the win, Cargill wins the tournament and becomes the first-ever TBS Champion. Cargill had a first round buy, then defeated Red Velvet and Thunder Rosa to advance to the finals. Soho, meanwhile, defeated Penelope Ford, Kris Statlander, and Nyla Rose to make it to tonight’s title match.

The TBS title was introduced on the October 6 edition of AEW Dynamite, a new championship in the AEW women’s division. The current AEW Women’s champion is Britt Baker, who will defend the title against Riho at Battle of the Belts this Saturday.
