Hook vs. Brian Cage FTW Title match set for AEW Dynamite


An FTW Championship match has been announced for AEW Dynamite.
Hook is set to defend the title against his former Team Taz teammate Brian Cage on the show.
AEW President Tony Khan revealed the news on Wednesday, writing:

AEW would later announce that fans will also hear from Darby Allin on tonight’s show.

Hook is in his second run with the title and will be looking for his ninth combined defense. He lost the belt to Jack Perry at Blood & Guts 2023 but won it back at All In the following month.
Cage was the champion for 377 days from July 2020 to July 2021, although he only successfully defended the title twice in his reign.
Tonight’s Dynamite takes place at the Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia. A new set and stage will debut on the show and The Young Bucks are advertised to have a huge announcement.
