Hikaru Shida vs. Tay Conti Women’s title match set for AEW Dynamite

AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida will defend her title against top contender Tay Conti on next week’s live Dynamite.

After losing in the first round of the recent tournament to determine a challenger for Shida, Conti won five in a row including wins over former champion Nyla Rose and The Bunny. Shida is nearing the year-long mark as champion and will be looking to defend her gold for an eighth time.

Also announced for the show:

• In a battle of top contenders, Hangman Page will face Ricky Starks. Page is riding a seven-match winning streak while Starks has won his last ten singles outings dating back to last October.
• Christian Cage will take on Powerhouse Hobbs of Team Taz. Cage officially turned down Taz’s offer on Wednesday and Hobbs decided to exact a measure of revenge, leaving Cage laying after an extended attack.
• Penta El Zero Miedo will face Trent? of Best Friends as their teams’ recent rivalry continues.
