Hangman Page wins AEW Casino Battle Royale

In the opener of tonight’s Double or Nothing pre-show, Hangman Page became the winner of the first match in All Elite Wrestling history.
After entering as the 21st and final entrant, Page last eliminated MJF to win the Casino Battle Royale. Page is now one of the top contenders for the AEW World Championship. He’ll face the winner of tonight’s Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho match at a later date to decide the first champion.
AEW hasn’t announced when that title match will be taking place.
Page was originally supposed to face PAC tonight, but their match was canceled due to creative differences. They instead faced each other for Wrestle Gate Pro in Nottingham, England last weekend. PAC got himself disqualified and then attacked Page’s leg in a post-match angle. AEW claimed that Page wouldn’t be able to wrestle at Double or Nothing because of it.
MJF, Brandon Cutler, Michael Nakazawa, Dustin Thomas, and Sunny Daze were the first five wrestlers in the Casino Battle Royale. Shawn Spears (formerly Tye Dillinger in WWE), Joey Janela, Jimmy Havoc, Isiah Kassidy, and Brian Pillman Jr. were next, then Billy Gunn, Glacier, Jungle Boy, Ace Romero, and Marq Quen came in.
Sonny Kiss, Marko Stunt, Tommy Dreamer, Luchasaurus, and Orange Cassidy were the last group before Page entered.
