Hangman Page, AEW reportedly working toward new contract

Hangman Page and AEW are reportedly working toward a new contract, according to Fightful.

Details were light other than negotiations have started recently with no timetable for a deal to be done. Page has the same representation as Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks. In March, our Dave Meltzer reported AEW was working toward signing Omega and the Bucks to new contracts before their deals expire.

Page is one of the original founding roster members of AEW and was part of the company’s kickoff press conference in January 2019.

The 31-year-old signed with AEW after notable runs in both Ring of Honor and NJPW, joining fellow Elite members Omega and the Bucks. While he was unsuccessful in becoming the inaugural AEW World Champion, Page eventually won the title at November 2021’s Full Gear in a win over Omega. He and Omega were also AEW Tag Team Champions.

Page is currently in a feud with the Blackpool Combat Club and is nearing a storyline reunion with Omega and the Bucks.
