Gates of Agony vs. Blackpool Combat Club announced for AEW Rampage
Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta will be in action on next Friday’s Rampage.
The Gates of Agony attacked Bryan Danielson on Collision Saturday after he defeated Aussie Open’s Kyle Fletcher. Fellow Blackpool Combat Club members Castagnoli and Yuta then ran in to make the save. Later on Collision, it was announced that the two teams will face off on Friday.
Danielson is set to face Swerve Strickland on Tuesday’s Dynamite to determine the next contender for Christian Cage’s TNT title. Both are coming off of major wins: Danielson defeated Zack Sabre Jr. in what was billed as a dream match at WrestleDream, while Strickland defeated Hangman Page, also at WrestleDream in Strickland’s hometown of Seattle.
The Gates of Agony, along with Brian Cage, most recently lost the ROH Six-Man Tag team titles at AEW Rampage Grand Slam to The Young Bucks and Page.
