FTR vs. Swerve in our Glory no. 1 contenders match set for next AEW Dynamite
The next challengers for the AEW Tag Team Champions will be determined on next week’s Dynamite as FTR will face Swerve in our Glory.
FTR was conducting a promo backstage with Renee Paquette Tuesday and talking about their interest in the titles as they have been ranked the no. 1 contenders for a while. Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland then walked into the frame and said they should get the next shot after they just lost the titles to The Acclaimed.
The two teams then agreed to meet next Wednesday with a title shot on the line.
Also set for next week in Norfolk, Virginia, is a first time ever match between Bryan Danielson and Sammy Guevara. This will be Danielson’s first match since losing to ROH Champion Chris Jericho last week and the first since Wheeler Yuta blew up at him and walked off the set during a taped interview Tuesday.
Jericho will be in action as he teams with Daniel Garcia against Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli as the Blackpool Combat Club vs. Jericho Appreciation Society feud continues.
After making her surprise return Tuesday, former AEW Women’s Champion Riho will return to an AEW ring for the first time since May when she faces Jamie Hayter. Riho came out to Toni Storm’s defense Tuesday as Hayter and Rebel were beating her down after her win over Hikaru Shida.
