Four title matches official for AEW Dynamite Grand Slam

Four title matches are official for AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on Wednesday, September 20 at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York City.

MJF will defend the AEW World Championship against Grand Slam World title eliminator tournament winner Samoa Joe next week. Joe defeated Roderick Strong in the tournament finals on Wednesday’s Dynamite. 

The Women’s World Championship will be on the line at Dynamite Grand Slam, with Saraya defending the title against Toni Storm. Storm won a four-way match on Wednesday’s Dynamite to earn the title shot. 

International Champion Jon Moxley is also set for a title defense at Dynamite Grand Slam against top contender Rey Fenix. Fenix attacked Moxley during a backstage segment on Dynamite to further establish the issue between the two which began playing out on Collision last week. 

Also official for Dynamite Grand Slam, Claudio Castagnoli and Eddie Kingston will square off in a title vs. title match with two belts at stake, as Castagnoli holds the ROH World Championship and Kingston is the NJPW Strong Openweight Champion. This match was announced last week, but it had not been clear whether it was to take place at Dynamite Grand Slam or Rampage Grand Slam.

In addition to the four title bouts, Chris Jericho vs. Sammy Guevara is also set for Arthur Ashe Stadium.

  • AEW Women’s World Championship: Saraya defends against Toni Storm
  • AEW International Championship: Jon Moxley defends against Rey Fenix
  • Title vs. title match: ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli vs. NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston
  • Chris Jericho vs. Sammy Guevara
