El Hijo del Vikingo injured, pulled from GCW Homecoming

  • Ian Carey

El Hijo del Vikingo is off this weekend’s GCW shows.

The promotion announced on Thursday that the 26-year-old will not perform on either night of GCW Homecoming in Atlantic City this weekend due to injury.

While the nature of Vikingo’s injury is unclear, the news comes just five days after he reportedly passed out backstage following AAA Triplemania XXXI Mexico City. Video of him being taken away on a stretcher was posted to social media that night.

PWInsider would later report that Vikingo was feeling sick before the match and passed out due to dehydration. He was also not expected to miss anytime.

However, many felt the situation in Mexico City was part of an angle.
