Edge/Adam Copeland’s in-ring debut set for AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday

The date and opponent for Edge/Adam Copeland’s AEW in-ring debut have been revealed.
Copeland, a WWE Hall of Famer, made a surprise debut for AEW during Sunday’s WrestleDream pay-per-view, and his first match will take place against Luchasaurus at Dynamite Title Tuesday on October 10.
AEW’s Tony Khan made the match announcement during the post-WrestleDream media scrum.
Copeland’s surprise debut on Sunday came in saving Sting and Darby Allin from a three-on-two beatdown at the hands of TNT Champion Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and the newly-turned Nick Wayne. Luchasaurus and Wayne make for natural opponents given the angle, as does Cage. In addition, Cage and Copeland as Edge & Christian were seven-time WWF Tag Team Champions making a Christian segment the natural spot for Copeland’s debut.
It was also announced during the media scrum that Copeland will appear on both this week’s Dynamite and Collision shows, with Copeland officially announced for an in-ring promo segment on Dynamite.
Khan noted at the media scrum that Copeland had signed with the company on a “full-time” deal, with Copeland noting that he plans to be with the company on a weekly basis after spending the majority of his most recent WWE run as a part-time player.
