Dustin Rhodes ‘couldn’t be prouder’ of new AEW/ROH faction

Dustin Rhodes couldn’t be prouder of the group of wrestlers he’s now working with in AEW/ROH.

The 55-year-old Rhodes is currently a double champion, holding the ROH Six-Man Tag Team titles with Marshall & Ross Von Erich and holding the ROH Tag Team titles with Sammy Guevara. They all joined forces with Katsuyori Shibata to win a 10-man tag match on the pre-show for All In.

Reflecting on the experience, Rhodes posted a tweet on Monday saying he thought his career was over in 2019 when he left WWE, but he thinks he’s now doing the best work of his career in AEW/ROH. Rhodes is excited to help elevate The Von Erichs and Guevara.

  • Gonna be real for a moment. If You asked me when I left the fed if I was done. I would have told you yes. AEW called and passion was renewed. I have had 5 wonderful passionate yrs in @AEW. I am grateful that I can still perform at a very high level, and that impresses me personally.
  • I watched Sting my whole life and he paved the way for all of us. To watch him for so long, still able, is inspirational. Whether you love me or hate me, I believe in all my yrs that I am doing my best work.
  • Time to elevate the #VonErichs @MarshallVonEric and @RossVonErich and pass on my knowledge to them and @sammyguevara
  • I couldn’t be prouder or happier with this faction of guys.
  • I may have been done 5 yrs ago, but passion came calling. Thanks @TonyKhan for all the opportunities. Here’s to another 36

Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett were the opponents for Rhodes and his team at All In. Rhodes & Guevara won the ROH Tag Team titles from Taven & Bennett earlier this month. In July, Rhodes & The Von Erichs defeated Taven, Bennett & Roderick Strong for the ROH Six-Man titles.

Rhodes, Guevara, and The Von Erichs are all from Texas.
