Don Callis attacks Kenny Omega on AEW Dynamite

The end of Dynamite saw Don Callis turn on Kenny Omega.
Towards the end of the steel cage match between Omega and Jon Moxley on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, both men crashed into the side of the cage, causing it to open. Moxley recovered and grabbed a screwdriver at ringside. Callis grabbed the screwdriver from Moxley. After Omega hit Moxley with the One Winged Angel back inside the ring, Callis turned on Omega and attacked him with the screwdriver. Moxley quickly covered Omega for the win and made his exit.
After the match, Omega made it to his knees as Callis lifted the screwdriver to attack him again. But instead, he paused, kissed him on the forehead, then shoved him to the ground as he left.
On social media, AEW posted a video of Omega screaming for Callis as he was being helped to the back. He then told Lexi Nair that if he can’t trust his own family, who could he trust.

Callis had been at the side of Omega since December of 2020, when he helped Omega defeat Moxley to win the AEW World Championship. In recent weeks, The Blackpool Combat Club have focused on Omega and The Elite, with a backstage assault causing Callis to be split open.
