Darby Allin sets kickflip world record during Mount Everest climb

Darby Allin is now a world record holder.
The AEW star posted a video to Instagram on Monday showing himself landing a kickflip on a skateboard at 20,958 feet while climbing Mount Everest.
To the best of public knowledge, this is the first documented world record for a highest-elevation kickflip.
Allin is making the ascent with Adventure Consultants, a New Zealand-based expedition company. One of the company’s founders, Rob Hall, was featured in the book Into Thin Air and its film adaptation, which recounts the 1996 Everest disaster in which eight climbers, including Hall, died in a blizzard while descending from the summit.
The team began the trekking stage of the climb on April 7 in Kathmandu. Expedition guide Dorjee Sherpa wrote of Allin’s progress on April 17 as the group hiked from Pheriche to Chhukhung:
“Darby is doing great! It took three and half hours. It was nice and clear day with great views. Tomorrow we are going to continue our acclimatisation with a hike Chhukhung Ri, a nerby hill which is at 5540m,” Dorjee wrote.
Allin hasn’t wrestled since going to a time-limit draw against RIchocet in the 2024 Continental Classic on December 22, 2024.
