Danielson, Kingston advance in AEW title eliminator tournament

A semifinal match is set in the AEW World title eliminator tournament following tonight’s Dynamite.

Bryan Danielson and Eddie Kingston won their first round matchups and will face off in a semifinal match on the October 29 episode of Rampage.

Danielson defeated Dustin Rhodes with a guillotine choke in the Dynamite opener. Kingston defeated Lance Archer with a magistral cradle to set up the contest with Danielson.

Kingston and Archer’s match appeared to be cut short following a spot where Archer landed on his head after missing a moonsault. The match was paused as the referee and ringside doctor checked on Archer. Archer got back in the ring and they immediately went to the finish.

Archer later tweeted: “I’ll live! Thank ya Lord!”

Orange Cassidy defeated Powerhouse Hobbs in a first round tournament match on this week’s Rampage. He awaits the winner of the Jon Moxley vs. Preston “10” Vance match, which will take place on Wednesday’s Dynamite in Boston.

The tournament finals are scheduled for the Full Gear pay-per-view on Saturday, November 13.
