CM Punk vs. Samoa Joe set for next AEW Collision

A rivalry born near decades ago in Ring of Honor will be revived in full on next Saturday’s AEW Collision when CM Punk takes on Samoa Joe.
The match will be a semifinal in the men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament after Joe defeated Roderick Strong on Saturday’s Collision. Punk advanced with a win over Satoshi Kojima at last Sunday’s Forbidden Door.
The other men’s semifinal will also take place as Ricky Starks will face Powerhouse Hobbs in another renewed rivalry from the breakup of Team Taz. Starks defeated Juice Robinson while Hobbs dispatched Dustin Rhodes Saturday.
The first women’s semifinal in the Owen Hart tournament will happen as Willow Nightingale takes on Athena.
Also set for next week, AEW Tag Team Champions FTR will face Bullet Club Gold in a Tag Team title eliminator. If Jay White and Juice Robinson can defeat Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood, they will earn a future title shot.
The match is happening thanks to the events of Saturday’s Collision where FTR and Punk ran out to aid Starks after he was being beat down by White, Robinson and The Gunns. The two teams have feuded in recent weeks, notably in an eight-man match on the first-ever Collision.
Here’s the current lineup from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada:
