CM Punk to make ‘important’ announcement tonight on AEW Rampage
CM Punk is set to make an announcement tonight on Rampage.
On Twitter this evening, Punk wrote that he will make an “important announcement” regarding his career and the AEW World Championship on tonight’s show.
“I’ll be on #AEWRampage live tonight with an important announcement in regards to the @aew world championship, and my career,” he wrote. ”Please tune in at 9pm CST/10pm EST.”
Punk won the AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing this past Sunday, defeating Hangman Page. On Dynamite this past Wednesday, he and FTR teamed up to defeat Max Caster and The Gunn Club (Colten and Austin Gunn). After the match, NJPW’s Hiroshi Tanahashi came out, answering CM Punk’s challenge for an opponent at AEW and NJPW’s joint show, Forbidden Door.
Here is what has been announced for tonight’s Rampage, which will be live in Ontario, California:
- Scorpio Sky vs. Dante Martin for the TNT Championship
- CM Punk announcement
- The Young Bucks vs. The Lucha Brothers
- Athena vs. Kiera Hogan
